The Uprising (2026)

Picture the cobblestone streets of war‑torn, plague‑bleached 14th‑century England, where every bargeman and blacksmith trembles with dread. Greengrass, known for his jarring, almost documentary taste, insists the past stay raw, refusing any sanitization of the social and battlefield chaos. The most arresting moment is when a humble farmer launches a six‑minute, pulse‑thumping charge that shatters the king’s iron grip on the town’s defenses. You’ll be pulled in by the visceral brutality and the moral weight of a people fighting for survival. This film is for those craving gritty, historically grounded action that asks hard questions.
