Beast (2022)

Picture a tranquil family getaway suddenly hijacked by raw wilderness menace. Its blend of a grieving father’s quiet strength and an unblinking predator turns the archetypal adventure into a tense psychological thriller that keeps you on edge. Within Beast, a thriller‑horror that blends grief with a primal hunt, Austin Butler anchors the tension with understated stoicism, his quiet determination echoing louder than the lion’s roar. You will feel your heartbeat spike as the savannah turns from free panorama to a claustrophobic theater of survival. The film’s visuals, from sweeping plains to tight, shadowed den frames, pull you into a relentless chase that locks in the audience’s breath. However, a pacing lurch in the middle act stutters the adrenaline, momentarily leaving you wanting more, but the finale snaps it back into visceral motion.
