Wrong Turn (2021)

Every step down the Appalachian Trail feels like a descent into dread. Wrong Turn’s eerily realistic terrain turns nightly into a maze, keeping your heart rattling as you realize the mountain itself is alive with a secret society. The film rebels against the stereotypical shotgun shooting horror by focusing on a single, oppressive silence that crawls through the cots, making every rustle a scream. If you crave a chilling psychological depth paired with grizzled ground‑truth cinematography, this one keeps the pressure up with relentless, claustrophobic visuals. The pacing lurches at moments, letting the tension flatten before rising again, but that brief easing feels like breath before a storm.
