Plot Summary
Origins of the gay dance underground at San Francisco's legendary Trocadero Transfer. Firsthand accounts of the all-night theme parties, chemical cocktails, and non-stop beat of gay culture from 1978-1983. Detailed descriptions of dance trends (including a fierce use of Oriental fans) and of the DJ’s craft provide a fascinating portrait of a time that lives on in the imagination.
