Women Talking (2022)

When silence surpasses spoken confession, you feel the weight of unspoken history pressing into every corner of the island. The film pulls you into the claustrophobic quiet of a secluded religious settlement, a medical drama disguised as a socio-religious examination. Ruby Johnson delivers a rallying speech that reverberates across the screen, turning raw dialogue into a catalyst for change. Its methodical pacing sometimes lags, especially around the factional convenings, yet the raw emotional intensity remains. Ideal for those who relish immersive, female-centered stories that probe societal limits.
