Weapons (2025)

From the moment a clock chimes midnight, the psychological thriller 'Weapons' grips you with a tense hush that tightens the community’s nerves. The film slices the convention of suburban suspense by layering a network of shadows that sense movement before it moves. Joaquin Phoenix’s stubborn silence in the opening confrontation makes every glance feel like a confession. A single twenty‑minute stretch of wall‑paper dialogue lapses, frustrating the fluid motion that had begun. If a companion destructive leap overwhelms your patience, the film finally bulbs true. You’ll be left pondering tomorrow’s choices until the last scene dissolves.
