Venom: Let There Be Carnage (2021)

Imagine a symbiote that turns a newsroom into a neon nightmare, dragging you into a riot of color and gore. Venom: Let There Be Carnage splashes the usual superhero heat with an irreverent sense of humor, letting the alien menace dance across a wildly chaotic set. Joaquin Phoenix anchors the madcap chaos with a manic performance that feels too grounded for a comic book villain and too absurd for a thriller. You’ll find it a delight if you crave high-octane violence mixed with deadpan sarcasm and an outrageous premise that keeps you guessing. Its pacing sometimes lurches when the plot tries to juggle too many subplots, leaving a few moments feeling rushed before the climactic showdown.
