Must Watch

You might expect a revenge story to drown in clichés, yet this 2022 action thriller rewrites the genre’s playbook as a tense chess match. Its singular focus on the psychological toll of vengeance, paired with a sparingly lit, rain‑slick cityscape, roots each violent moment in raw realism. The lead’s almost wordless performance carries every frame, with his fractured dialogue delivering a quiet menace that remains fresh in your mind. However, the film’s heavy reliance on long, slow‑paced shootouts can feel slightly indulgent, stretching the middle act a touch longer than necessary. If you appreciate gritty, atmospheric thrillers that reward patience over spectacle, this will keep you riveted.
