Under Paris (2024)

Feel the rush as a colossal menace descends into your city’s heart, turning the Seine into a living nightmare. Under Paris feels like a surreal, cerebral thriller that throws you into a world where the Seine becomes an arena for grief and survival. Joaquin Phoenix transforms a reluctant scientist into a tragic anchor, delivering a quiet, bone‑deep performance that anchors the film’s high‑concept chaos. The film’s relentless pacing sometimes pushes tension to the brink, with a few scenes lingering longer than necessary. Ideal for fans of psychological thrillers who enjoy non‑linear storytelling.
