Un souffle à la fois ()

Plot Summary

Steve Patry’s thought-provoking Un souffle à la fois invites us to look at the challenging and relentless work of social workers at Donne toi une chance, an organization helping men struggling with emotional regulation. This loss of control often leads to violent behaviour, and the fixed camera forces us to listen to these men’s intense, sometimes graphic, accounts of their winding journey toward self-discovery and self-control. The social workers play an equal role in both the editing and healing process, granting a glimpse into their quiet, everyday courage amid their quest for humanity as they navigate the minefield of minds trapped in patterns of violence.
