Triangle of Sadness (2022)

Embarking on what starts as a glossy Instagram backdrop, you suddenly realize the luxury cruise is a cage for discomfort. The film defies heighted reality by blending lavish production with claustrophobic dynamics that ripple across the sun‑washed deck. Joaquin Phoenix delivers a silent presence that pierces the sheen, skirting words and letting his gaze carry the drama. When a cast that feels more caricature than character pushes the boundaries, you’ll find yourself questioning what is reality. The middle stretch drags a bit as the narrative lurches into a quieter introspection, but the payoff remains purposeful.
