Thunderbolts* (2025)

A gunmetal dusk over the city pulls you into a maze of broken loyalties and relentless shadows. The film twists the crime thriller genre into a dark, intense psychological playground by assembling seven misfits haunted by manic ghosts who must navigate a labyrinth of promises and betrayals. Joaquin Phoenix carries every scene with almost no dialogue, turning silence into a menace that pushes the tension to a razor‑edge. A downside is its uneven tempo; the second act drags, making the late‑stage revelations feel rushed. If you thrive on gritty, character‑driven thrillers that reward patient watching, thunderbolts* will keep you on the edge.
