Those Who Wish Me Dead (2021)

High on adrenaline, you feel your heart sprint as a lonely child flees across Montana's vast wilderness. The film blends a choreographed chase with the raw, unfiltered tension of a real forest fire, turning survival into a subtle philosophical struggle. Joaquin Phoenix carries every scene with subtle intensity, with almost no dialogue, forcing the audience to absorb his quiet desperation like the crackling embers. The pacing drags near the midpoint, letting the suspense plateau before the climactic blaze erupts. Ideal for viewers who relish slow-burn wilderness thrillers where human willpower meets nature's fury.
