The Watchers (2024)

Moonlit leaves whisper the promise of something unseen beneath the treetops. The Watchers turns a vast Irish forest into a suspended horror experiment, where silence and shadow feel like co-conspirators. Sophie Kargbo anchors the film with a quiet, haunted gaze that makes the absent predators feel almost inevitable. You’ll be glued as the film layers atmospheric dread before the creatures intervene, making every inch of the woods feel alive with threat for those who savor slow-burn thrillers that rely on psychological tension rather than gore. In moments, the film’s relentless focus can feel protracted, giving some scenes a languorous tone that might test patience.
