The School for Good and Evil (2022)

Long-awaited, The School for Good and Evil lands you in a world where fairy tale kingdoms clash. You notice how a mystical school turns a classic good‑vs‑evil battle into a twisted friendship test, flipping your expectations of where loyalty should lie. The high‑contrast candlelit corridors and choreographed duels in the Great Hall feel like a living set piece that pulls you into the protagonist’s moral maze, a hallmark of darkly whimsical fantasy. Ideal viewers are those who love epic fantasies that tug at nostalgia while challenging the hero archetype, especially fans of Harry Potter and The Chronicles of Narnia. The middle act stretches a bit, making some scenes feel slower than the dizzying start.
