Our Take
Expert, independent review by the HollyFlixHD Editorial Team
You find yourself beside the salt-slick shore, where Ithaca's quiet voice sounds louder than any war cry. The Return (2024) is a mythic drama that treats its story with an introspective tone, turning each lingered silhouette into a meditation on time. The director's use of deliberate, long takes lets the landscape breathe, drawing you into a space where anticipation is a quiet companion. Yet the film's second act sometimes stalls, dragging the pace just a bit too long. Those who appreciate slow, cerebral stories will still leave the theater with a weighty, reflective gut.
