The Phoenician Scheme (2025)

A discordant piano chord, barely heard over the hum of distant sirens, pulls you into a world where trust is a commodity and every confidant might be a skirmisher. In the 2025 thriller The Phoenician Scheme, a wealthy businessman cruelly names his cloistered daughter as heir, sending both the sanctity of conscience and the ruthless ambitions of men into collision. Its single-voice narrative dissolves into a web of plant-based espionage, and the shadowy use of framed silences turns even the hospital corridor into a stage. The film's dynamic use of a single static camera in a dimly lit warehouse transforms a chase into a visual meditation on inevitability. Early ambiguities in the plot’s exposition drag the pacing, leaving you momentarily adrift before the stakes sharpen.
