The Old Guard 2 (2025)

From the moment the battlefield erupts, you are thrust into a relentless rhythm that feels both ancient and razor‑sharp. Andy’s renewed purpose feels fresh as she leads a ragged squad of immortal warriors, each with a distinct scarred backstory that keeps you grounded amid the epic. Joaquin Phoenix’s quiet presence anchors the film, delivering a nuanced performance that slows the pace and invites reflection in a genre saturated with gunfire. You’ll notice a pacing slip in the middle act, as the stakes reset a few times before settling. With its layered world and action that rewards sharp attention, it promises a satisfying adrenaline surge for action‑fans and long‑time guardians alike.
