The Mortuary Assistant (2026)

When the antiseptic pallor of the morgue meets the unsettling dread of a supernatural mystery, you get a taut psychological horror ride. The premise—a recent graduate working the graveyard shift—establishes an immediate, claustrophobic mood that makes the routine feel profoundly wrong. The unsettlingly polite atmosphere of the River Fields Mortuary, juxtaposed with genuinely disturbing folklore, is the film's most compelling feature. While the pacing occasionally drifts, allowing you a few moments of stillness to breathe, its sustained dread makes it a mandatory viewing experience for true genre connoisseurs.
