The Money Maker (2026)

You sit in a dim room, the scent of ink and old paper thick in the air. Set in post‑war France, the film follows Jan Bojarski, a Polish refugee whose quiet garden shed cradles a world‑record counterfeit operation that rivals the Banque de France’s own prints. The choice of hand‑crafted print texture in the credits feels like a fingerprint of the unseen artist, while the lead, Daniel Renard, delivers a intrepid intensity that refuses to say a word. A handful of extended tracking shots stretch the middle act, nudging the tightness that keeps the audience hooked. If you relish gritty crime thrillers that lean on atmosphere over exposition, you will find a companion in this film.
