The Medium (2021)

You don't just see a supernatural tale; you feel nerves tighten as the frame fills with a quiet, oppressive presence. The film mixes Vanuatu folklore and modern psychological dread, making possession feel like a feverish family secret instead of a mythic curse. The soundscape turns wind, chanting, and distant drums into a living organism, turning silence into a chilling watch. A few scenes drag in the middle, yet they rarely lose the film's tightening sense of impending dread. You are someone who craves Hitchcockian pacing blended with an unsettling mythic twist.
