The Ledge (2022)

Imagine standing on a sheer ledge where every breath feels like a heartbeat against a threatening void. The Ledge dissects that feeling of vertigo by layering the claustrophobic thrill of rock climbing with a psychological nightmare that lurks beneath the camaraderie of a tight‑knit group. Jenna de Jong’s stilted dialogue is padded with tense silences and stroboscopic camera work, making the audience feel every shiver at the cliff’s edge as if they themselves were climbing. You will be drawn in whether you’re a thrill‑seeker who loves to gasp from the thrill of danger or a film‑buff who appreciates the cinematic language of tension. The film’s mid‑section drifts into a methodical pace that tempers its initial adrenaline rush, but the closing act forces the suspense back into over‑the‑top territory, ensuring you stay glued to the screen.
