Our Take
Expert, independent review by the HollyFlixHD Editorial Team
The opening scene has you standing on a ridge, wind whispering old memories rather than a soundtrack. Gripping us with its sparse dialogue and the slow, tense chemistry between father and son, the film demands the same quiet patience it rewards. Joaquin Phoenix carries every scene with almost no dialogue, letting his gaze alone reveal the layers of regret and hope. You’ll appreciate the introspective drama that unfolds slowly, rewarding viewers who prefer depth over spectacle. Even though a mid‑act lull in pacing thins the narrative, the cathartic resolution makes the drop worth it.
