The Contractor (2022)

You find yourself pulled into a fast‑paced chase across war zones, not as a spectator but as the star of a battle you’re not entirely ready to fight. What sets this thriller apart is its relentless focus on the lead’s psychological bleed‑through, blending gritty realism with the claustrophobic paranoia of a man chasing a shadow. The first half keeps the suspense razor‑sharp, each frame packed with furtive camera work that teases the next twist before it even appears. Yet the climax stretches a touch thin, trading some payoff for a briefer resolution. When you’re hungry for an adrenaline‑driven, character‑heavy war saga that makes you feel the bleed of bone and heat of night.
