The Brutalist (2024)

When an exile finds a canvas paved in concrete, you’re pulled into a world where every brick whispers ambition. In The Brutalist, a relentless, documentary‑style visual pulse turns each construction block into a meditation on identity. Marcus Allen carries the story with brooding restraint, turning the architect’s quiet desperation into a visceral torment that keeps you on edge. However, pacing stalls midway, with long takes that risk dragging the narrative into measured complacency. This cerebral architectural drama invites you to step back after a long day, mirroring the quiet intensity of its setting.
