STRAW (2025)

Feel the relentless pressure settle around you as a single mother’s ordinary routine unravels into a crescendo of desperation. Unlike typical urban dramas, the film eschews dialogue for a series of unbroken roomscapes, making each breath feel like a drumbeat of tension. Catia Egloff’s subtle, almost whispered performance lights every quiet corner, turning her rage into a palpable rhythm that reverberates across the screen. A few pacing lulls, especially in the third act, occasionally let the build‑up itch and make scenes feel rushed. You’ll find this tense, character‑driven drama rewarding if you crave an unflinching look at a day that turns into a last‑stand crisis.
