Strange World (2022)

Imagine being thrown into treacherous, uncharted terrain where every turn feels like stepping into a dream. The film’s world-building feels less like a backdrop and more like a physical companion—fantastical creatures and mysterious landscapes react to your own curiosity. The headlining creature, a translucent elemental that swirls around the family’s boat, is rendered with a texture so palpable that you might reach out to scratch it. You’ll be drawn if you thrive on adventure stories that weave fragile family dynamics into the action. A pacing hiccup in the middle act slows the momentum, but the payoff keeps the journey worth the brief plateau.
