Smile (2022)

An unsettling quiet after a storm feels like a whisper of the unknown, drawing you into the hushed halls of a small‑town clinic. Smile, a slow‑burn psychological horror, turns clinical detachment into a surreal nightmare, pushing you to question what is real. Tilda Swinton delivers an almost wordless performance that turns bedside care into a stage of uncanny sympathy, while fragile lighting makes the late‑night corridors feel alive. A pacing dip midway leaves some viewers momentarily disoriented, yet the film quickly recovers to an intense crescendo that keeps you hooked. Ideal for those who savor a slow‑burn thriller clinging to the edge between reality and hallucination.
