Silk Road (2021)

Step into the hidden corners of the internet where ambition meets law, and you'll feel the electricity in the air. The film's focus on philosophical twenty year old Ross Ulbricht brings a fresh academic lens to the thriller, setting it apart from usual crime dramas. Michael Keaton slips into the role so quietly that the tension builds with every silent frame, a subtle counterpoint to the frantic world he tries to build. You will be drawn into an uneasy reality where the line between creator and creator hunter blurs, and the stakes feel all too personal. If you crave a story that packs moral ambiguity into a slow burn narrative, this is the one to watch; just beware a thin bridge in the third act that can feel like a drag.
