Shin Ultraman (2022)

Imagine watching the city lights transform into a stage for a colossal showdown, and you realize that this is not just a battleground but a dazzling showcase of heroic myth. Shin Ultraman flares onto the screen as a fresh tokusatsu action thriller, injecting a much-needed boost of kinetic choreography into an otherwise formulaic genre. The film’s standout moment comes when the silver leviathan pierces the skyline, delivering a stunning practical effects sequence that feels both nostalgic and brand new. You’ll be caught in its fast-paced, high-energy rhythm, never knowing what a giant will appear next, but always ready to root for its blue hero. The only hitch is a slightly uneven third act that robs the finale of some of the initial momentum.
