Rurouni Kenshin: The Beginning (2021)

When the past flickers into the present, you feel the chill of a blade poised between mercy and vengeance. Rurouni Kenshin: The Beginning marries tornado‑like sword‑play with a quiet portrait of redemption, and its hand‑painted cinematography reads like living Ukiyo‑e. The most striking element is Takeshi Kitano’s stoic presence, who carries every tense moment with a silent intensity that turns each movement into a resonant message. Some sequences linger too long on ceremonial rituals, which slows the overall momentum. If you crave a samurai story that weighs honor as heavy as steel, you’ll find yourself swept into its ornate world.
