Plot Summary
W. Burroughs wrote: "Istanbul is being torn down and rebuilt, especially shabby junk quarters. Istanbul has more heroin junkies than NYC." (Naked Lunch). After eight years of "voluntary" exile, I return to my hometown. The sun is blinding. I lock myself away in the family album. The hushed atmosphere of the young Republic, covered with the unsaid and the unseen... Deportations, expulsions of minorities, "militarization" through "First Ladies" galas, fashionable "fascism." I go back to my first studio portrait, then relapse. That eye bursts! I ask my mother to film this eye of her minority son. It's his first eye in cinema! A touch, an encounter with reality. Then I continue to film blindly, the Naked Lunch of the "sans-culottes" until the end of the reel...
