Road House (2024)

A sudden dusk over Florida's Keys sets the stage for one of the year's most oddly exhilarating bouncer dramas. You’ll be pulled into a world where the swagger of a former UFC fighter meets a squad of eccentric locals, turning the roadhouse into a chessboard of interpersonal clashes. Joaquin Phoenix—who plays Dalton—shifts the beat with a sharp, almost silent ferocity that makes every slam, stare, and whispered threat feel like theater. The film's back‑to‑front pacing drifts at the midpoint, buying you a few extra minutes of tension that fades into a rushed finale. See it if you relish grounded action laced with gritty humor and want a role for fish‑bowl cameras that refuses to look away.
