Rita (2024)

When long distance silence becomes the quiet companion, you feel the hollow where trust once lived. The film breaks the usual dutch angle of marital introspection by treating infidelity not as a betrayal but as a shared perverse ritual that both characters quietly embrace. Director Kiera Carmichael's framing never lets you leave the cinema; her camera lingers on a single, unspoken look that drips with psychological depth. Just a touch of pacing hiccups in the middle act keeps you a tad impatient, but the emotional stakes eventually pull you back in. Rita, the erotic drama, sits perfectly for anyone who loves a slow burn, cerebral tone that forces you to question if love truly can endure when both partners are in league with themselves.
