Our Take
Expert, independent review by the HollyFlixHD Editorial Team
When Santa Claus vanishes from the North Pole’s icy throne, you are thrown into a holiday thriller that feels more like a globe‑trot action‑adventure than a festive fairy tale. Red One (2024) treats the trope of rescuing a kingpin captain with a couture of spies and icy chase sequences that echo a Jason Bourne vibe. A standout moment is Joaquin Phoenix—playing the codename Red One—navigating a dramatic snow pileup with a single, unspoken glance that turns a stunt into a tense moral pivot. Venture into this film if you crave a high‑octane holiday chase layered with international intrigue and a detective’s edge.
