Rebel Ridge (2024)

Imagine a town where the law turns on its own protector; that’s how Rebel Ridge grips you from the start. It flips the typical revenge script on its head by making the Marine a reluctant vigilante guided by justice, not vengeance. Joaquin Phoenix delivers a razor-sharp, almost silent performance that anchors each tense exchange. Though the film’s pacing falters in the middle act, the relentless tension keeps you engaged until the final gunshot. You’ll appreciate Rebel Ridge if you savor character-driven crime thrillers that cling to moral gray areas.
