Radical (2023)

You step into a town that forgets its audacity, and feel the classroom grind thumbing against the border streets. Radical, a gritty drama that digs deep into systemic neglect, uses a teacher's unorthodox tactics to ignite a spark of rebellion in a sea of apathy. Joaquin Phoenix’s almost dialogue performance turns every silent exchange into a pulse‑racing electric thread. However, the film sometimes sways into slow‑pacing interludes that let the urgency slide a touch. If you’re ready for a raw, unsettling look at borders that feel like classrooms, this one is worth your time.
