Our Take

Must Watch

Your breath catches as a RAF Wing Commander jumps from a peaceful cockpit into a frontline cage of Japanese soldiers. The film shines because it treats war as a brutal dojo, revealing Wright’s Hong Kong martial arts training as a deadly surprise. The highlight is a single, long take that rolls him into a grappling ballet with a disciplined samurai blade, choreographed with striking clarity. Mid‑cranking, the pacing dip in the third act feels a beat too slow for the intensity it demands. Yet the tension stays with you if you crave authentic, blood‑bared combat. It rewards viewers who love a disciplined war saga mixed with visceral action.
