Prelude to The End (2026)

You follow Astrid, a Paper Academy student whose mind keeps slipping into strange visions that break every rule around her. The short film mixes animated fantasy with music and horror, so you feel pulled into her world before you fully understand it. It is bold, moody, and built like a music video with a story, giving you a quick but intense look at a girl fighting her own thoughts. The animation style stands out, with sharp colors, moving shapes, and scenes that match the song’s energy. The pacing is fast, so you may want to rewatch to catch details, but the emotional push keeps you invested. Some viewers might find the horror moments too dark or the story too short, yet fans of My Chemical Romance and Lauren Tsai’s world will likely enjoy the mood. Stream it in 4K Ultra HD on Prime Video, rent on Apple TV, or grab the 4K Blu-ray if you want the best picture and sound.
