Perfect Days (2023)

You might find the world too familiar, but this quiet drama turns the routine of a toilet cleaner into a contemplative canvas. The film's unique lens sees everyday life—cassette tapes, books, photo‑studded trees—becoming a gentle meditation on beauty. A standout element is the film's soundtrack, a nostalgic collage of 90s J‑pop that reverberates with the rhythm of urban mundanity. You will appreciate its unhurried pace and its way of nudging you to notice the unnoticed. While the midsection can feel like a slow drift, the film ultimately rewards patience with subtle emotional resonance.
