Palmer (2021)

Imagine stepping onto a field scarred by time, as you watch a once brilliant high school star try to rewrite his future. The story hinges on an unlikely friendship between the former convict and a reclusive boy, a fragile bond that feels both inevitable and heartbreaking without melodrama. What truly sets the film apart is the raw, almost monologue free performance that makes every lingering silence carry weight and keeps the audience glued to the raw reality of second chances. If you favor stories that explore the painful, and often ambiguous, path toward redemption, you'll find yourself drawn into every gritty frame. Some viewers may find the mid‑section dragging as it lingers too long on internal monologue, but the emotional payoff in the final confrontation restores urgency.
