Paddington in Peru (2024)

Remember the cartwheel escape of a marmot and feel your stomach rise with the promise of a new, spice‑laden adventure. Paddington in Peru leans into playful humor while delivering an earnest portrait of Aunt Lucy’s quiet refugee community at a retirement home for bears. The camera lingers on verdant canopy and snow‑capped peaks, turning each landscape into a character that guides your emotions as fiercely as a curious child. The subtle lilt of Spanish exclamations from the supporting cast adds unexpected authenticity, weaving a lightweight musical rhythm into otherwise light‑hearted scenes. The only drawback is a rhythm that risks dipping into cartoonish pacing mid‑journey, but a warm core keeps you grounded throughout.
