My Father, Myself (2022)

You won't find another family drama that leans as boldly into taboo as My Father, Myself does. The tension is built entirely through razor‑sharp dialogue and unsettling mise‑en‑scene, turning every gathering into a psychological minefield. Jorge Larralde delivers a restrained menace that feels more voyeuristic than sympathetic, making every awkward exchange feel visceral. Yet the pacing can feel uneven toward the third act, as the narrative shifts into a claustrophobic climax that lags. If you're drawn to unsettling psychological thrillers that push family secrets to the brink, this will thrill you.
