Mortal Kombat Legends: Battle of the Realms (2021)
The battle to end all battles.
Plot Summary
When Shao Kahn's Outworld barbarians terrorize Earthrealm, Lord Raiden is determined to put an end to the carnage once and for all. This leaves one option: a final Mortal Kombat tournament for the future of Earthrealm – win it or lose everything. Raiden's elite fighters Liu Kang, Johnny Cage, Sonya Blade, and a few new faces kick the action into overdrive as they go head-to-head with Outworld's most bloodthirsty warriors. But deep in the Netherrealm, an unspeakable scheme by the malevolent Shinnok unfolds, threatening to obliterate existence.
Our Take
Expert, independent review by the HollyFlixHD Editorial Team
Berserk blights cascade from Outworld, threatening to tear Earthrealm apart. Mortal Kombat Legends: Battle of the Realms is a fighting action film that turns arcade chaos into cinematic choreography, blending ragged old‑school pixel arcs with towering practical sets that leap off the screen. The brutal showdown between Liu Kang and Shinnok reveals a visceral blend of thunderclups and gore, making each drop a cinematic beat you feel in your bones. You will be drawn in if you crave high‑octane martial arts drama that refuses to shy from brutality. However, the pacing skims over the deep lore, leaving the Netherrealm arc feeling like a rushed side‑quest.
