Mile End Kicks (2026)

You feel the electric pulse of Montreal nightlife humming beneath an indie anthem that feels like a secret conversation between strangers. Mile End Kicks intertwines music criticism with a love triangle that makes you question the weight of an author’s voice when it becomes a living, breathing instrument. Celine Gauthier’s raw, throat‑wheeze voice in the climactic single “Midnight Muse” turns the film into a living soundtrack you replay long after the credits roll. The middling act drags just a few minutes, letting the narrative pause on lukewarm lyricism. It is your next story if you crave a character study that marries indie rock culture with the slow‑burn anxiety of a career‑driven protagonist.
