Mickey 17 (2025)

Every time you sit down to this sci-fi psychological thriller, you feel as if you're walking into a maze of consequence. Its unique premise turns the editor into a reluctant martyr, forcing you to question the value of agency in a gilded cage. Joaquin Phoenix's near-silent performance anchors each breathless moment, letting the film’s visual language speak louder than dialogue. The pacing can feel uneven at times, with some scenes loosening the tight suspense built earlier. Still, the shards of unflinching brutality and unsettling existentialism will keep you riveted.
