Mercy (2026)

Imagine stepping into a courtroom where the judge is a hyper‑intelligent AI that can see the rhythm of your thoughts—Mercy turns that premise into a sharp, slow‑burn sci‑fi psychological thriller that keeps your pulse racing. The case is scored by the very system the detective helped create, forcing him to deconstruct his own past in a morally ambiguous dance. Joaquin Phoenix delivers a performance that starts as a quiet stare and grows into an unspoken confession, letting every frame feel like a heartbeat of judgment. If the pacing dips into an uneven rush near the finale, it still maintains a razor‑sharp tension. You’ll find this film a perfect fit if you crave a psychological thriller that plays with real‑time morality and intellectual puzzles.
