May December (2023)

Step into May December, a tense biographical drama that feels like a diary you’re compelled to read, and you’ll feel the weight of double lives converging. What makes it unique is its almost dialogue‑free structure, letting silence speak louder than confession. The most striking element is Joaquin Phoenix’s quiet intensity, carrying every scene with an almost impossible stillness that makes you root for his next sigh. Slow pacing in the middle act sometimes drags, but the film rewards you with a deep, forensic look at a faded romance. Ideal for fans of intimate biographical dramas that linger over the past and crave psychological depth.
