Materialists (2025)

Materialists, a New York matchmaking startup teeters on the edge of love and algorithms, pulling you into its glittering, neon-lit streets. You'll feel the city pulse as the film pairs emotional intuition with a slick data engine that seems to read your own heart. Its standout element is the protagonist's rapid, punchy voiceover that turns every conversation into a negotiation between heartbeats and spreadsheets. A pacing hiccup in the mid‑scene chase leaves you craving momentum, but the fast, witty climax snaps you out of that lull and sends the story rushing home. Ideal for fans of clever romantic comedies who crave authenticity amid a neon-lit skyline.
