Love Lies Bleeding (2024)

Every time you think a love story won’t humble a city, a reclusive gym manager and a rising bodybuilder flip that expectation on its head. The film's grit is amplified by its brutal underground circuit setting, a world that burns with sweat and blood. The lead negotiates his suspicions with a performance that oscillates between weary restraint and sudden, raw ferocity. Yet the second act drags as the plot tries to tether too many subplots. You, who crave a thriller that lets you feel the weight of a secret family’s legacy, will find the tension here unforgettable.
